The very latest in Plug Computing will at our CeBit booth (Hall 2, A20): The 2 GHz Cirrus by Ionics EMS.

The Ionics Cirrus is the first third generation Plug Computer, and it comes complete with GBit Ethernet, USB 2.0, WLAN (b/g), Bluetooth, and an internal 120 GB hard disk.

Even better, it is as easy to get software running as any other Plug. It took us less than two days to port our commercial PMS (Personal Mail Server) project to the Cirrus platform.

As a result we will be proudly showing the world’s smallest eMail server at CeBit – come and see for yourself!

GuruPlug is the first second-generation Plug Computing hardware to become available, manufactured by Globalscale.

We will be showing the GuruPlug Server at CeBit (Hall 2, Stand A20 in the Mac OS X Business Park).

Last week we received first samples from Ionics EMS, one of the large factories involved in Plug Computing.

We will be showing the prototypes at our CeBit booth (Hall 2, A20, in the Mac OS X Business Park) as they point the direction for future development of the Plug Computing platform.

The Ionics’ equivalent of the Globalscale SheevaPlug is the Nimbus 100. Nimbus 100 is even smaller than the SheevaPlug, thanks to the detacheable JTAG module.

With this trend to shrink the computer by a few millimeters every few weeks, we can’t wait to see where we stand next year
