SheevaPlug DevKit

Characteristics

The SheevaPlug DevKit is based on an Open Source Ubuntu Linux operating system, with other distributions following soon.

Linux developers and Linux power users will have no trouble finding a large array of existing software that can be recompiled for the platform, quickly providing solutions for any number of applications.

Developers also have the possibility to dig deeper and create software for special tasks that take best advantage of the unique Plug Computing features, both for in-house use or for sale as finished Plug Computing packages.

The SheevaPlug DevKit also doubles in deployment. GigaBit Ethernet provides wire-speed access to data and the internal SD-Card reader allows for upgradeable mass storage that is more than sufficient for many applications.
